The purpose of the Intercultural Partnership Council (located in the heart of the Cherokee Reservation) is to build relationships with, and provide support to, marginalized communities.
The goal is to implement the Cherokee concept of "Gadugi" in a relationship-oriented community that shares responsibility for the welfare of all and accepts each other as equals.
We want to mitigate the impacts of victimization through active collaboration with other community organizations and agencies.

The Native men at Jess Dunn Correctional Center hold a sweat lodge ceremony every other Friday. They meet weekly for a history and culture class, raise an extensive garden, hold regular ceremonies, and work with each other in creating gadugi- a mutually supportive community. It's time to replace the frame of their sweat lodge. They need 25 willow, hickory, or elm saplings or branches that are 15'-20' long. Any ideas?
